These terms apply to the service operated by Oh My Term (official server instances, including the free public instance, and related websites). The free public instance is meant for trying things out and temporary use only. The Oh My Term software itself is open source under Apache-2.0: self-hosted or third-party-operated omts servers are not part of this service and are governed by their operators' own terms.
Accounts
Provide accurate information when registering; keep your password and two-factor credentials safe — activity under your account is your responsibility.
You can delete your account at any time (in the app: “Settings → Security → Delete account”, or by email as described in the account deletion notice).
Long-inactive free accounts may be cleaned up; back up anything important.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, or to attack, scan, or interfere with the service or other people's devices.
Do not bypass or attempt to bypass access controls or rate limits.
Use free-instance resources reasonably. For abuse (including behavior that affects other users), we may rate-limit, suspend or terminate the accounts involved.
Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is”, with no promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Terminal content is end-to-end encrypted, but availability of servers and networks depends on many factors.
The official free omts comes with no availability commitment: it is a demo and stopgap — run your own server for production or long-lived workloads.
Features, quotas and availability of the free service may change, be suspended or discontinued; material changes will be announced on the official website.
Intellectual property
The Oh My Term software is open source under Apache-2.0 — you may use, modify and distribute it under that license.
The website content, brand name and marks belong to the Oh My Term project and may not be used in ways that imply official endorsement.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose); we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service; the total fees you paid us for the service in the 12 months before your claim (zero for free users) cap our aggregate liability.
Changes to these terms
Material changes will be announced on the official website and reflected in the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
